Meet Sweet Eli ~ Douglasville Adoption Birth Photographer

I am always amazed by the miracle of life when I am able to photograph a birth session. But this was slightly different.

Sweet Eli was loved more than he will ever understand. A love that will forever bind one mother to another.

I witness God’s plan unfold before my eye’s. I watched gracious giving like no other.

And, I saw a true testimony of a family’s faithful waiting.

Welcome to the world little man. You are a dream come true…

and you are blessed!

I had the pleasure of photographing this little guy as a newborn.

Now, he is just over 18 months old.

Not only is he a cutie, but he FULL of energy!

And he loves his mama…can you tell?

See that hat…it belonged to his grandfather & it is SUPER special to this little guy (and super BIG, haha).

Such a cute little cowboy! Watching him grow and capturing memories for this family is an HONOR!

From summer vacations to adorable and FUN summer sessions.

I can’t wait to share them all.

I begin today with images I captured when my BFF came to visit us this summer and brought her family (um, it may even been back in the spring…YIKES).

I love her girls as if they were my own.

As their “Auntie Kim”, I must brag…they ARE absolutely adorable!

The theme this week is “back to school” and this image is one of my ALL TIME favs!

It is such a true reflection of my little guys personality!

This year my BIG BOY started kindergarten!

He’s growing too fast.

I love it when I can use my camera to stop time…

and capture a memory I want to remember FOREVER.

Sweet Sixteen ~ Douglasville Teen Photographer

I had the pleasure of celebrating Elizabeth’s 16th birthday with her and a few of her friends! Her session was a big surprise from her parents. She showed up with gorgeous hair and make-up, a fabulous little black dress with shoes to die for AND her adorable smile! It was so much fun hanging out with this young lady {even though it rained on us}.

She is beautiful inside and out. Happy Birthday, Elizabeth!

I LOVE sessions like this…relaxed, FUN and truly a reflection of these girls and their friendship!

Seniors! Seniors! Seniors! ~ Douglasville Senior Photographer

Whew…it’s been a busy few months with LOTS of seniors to photograph BEFORE their special day. I new this senior way-back when I was a teacher just across the hall from her 4th grade class. She was fun and spunky even back then and still is. Only now, she is gorgeous & all grown up. Thanks for letting me capture this special time for you Miss Kelsey! Your future is BRIGHT, girl!

Little Miss Sarah was born into the sweetest family with the most adorable big brother! He was unbelievable sweet to his new baby sister. And Sarah was the best newborn model…she slept the whole time. It was an honor to photograph this little one! Thanks Aunt Amy for giving the gift of photography!

Thanks to all my fans and friends on Facebook for helping to make a dream come true! The image of sweet Jonah and his even sweeter mommy, Kristi appears on this month’s edition of Douglasville’s local lifestyle magazine, Chapel Hills News & Views.

I entered little Jonah’s image in the magazine’s Facebook cover photo contest. It was a race to the finish as I was in stiff competition with another great local photographer. I really appreciate all who voted. I am so PROUD to have one of my images on the cover for so many reasons. Most of all, I am thrilled to share this particular photo that means so much to me. Not only is Jonah’s picture so fitting for the Mother’s Day edition of the magazine, but also I love the emotion that is captured here as this sweet newborn is being cradled in his mother’s safe and strong hands. Their story is amazing, and I am in awe of this family’s patience, strength and faith in God’s plan for their lives. You can read about Jonah’s birth story HERE.

After the contest was over, the editor of the magazine called Jonah’s family and asked if they could write a feature article about him! How wonderful is that!?!?

I am so lucky to have had the opportunity to photograph this family on many occasions over the past few years! I am even luckier to call them my friends. And yet again, as with many previous sessions, I am truly thankful that I was able to create this image for them…and now I am happy {or just plain giddy} that so many people are getting to read about this little guy and his journey into the world.
