It’s time for Easter mini sessions coming up in just a few weeks!

These sessions were SOOOO cute and truly a big success last year.
I am so excited to see ALL the cuteness again this year.

Specific Dates/Times:
Sunday, March 18th, AM and PM sessions
Friday, March 23rd, PM sessions
Sunday, March 25th, AM and PM sessions

There are a limited number of appointments each day…so pick yours quickly!

I am scoping out a new location for the minis this year!!  I’ll be emailing the address out when the time comes.

Mini Session FINE PRINT:

These mini sessions are not intended for family “lifestyle” sessions, but are geared toward children/siblings of all ages…SO KIDS ONLY!

No discounts/coupons can be used for mini sessions (referrals don’t apply to minis).

All print selections must be made by April 1st in order to receive your prints by Easter.

Orders placed by April 1st will be ready for pick up on April 6th (or before if your order is placed early, wink, wink).

You MUST be on time for these sessions (10 minutes early if you can)…they are scheduled back to back and move quickly!

I am planning on having little baby chicks and possibly a little bunny for these sessions (depending on the date).
I am also going to have some VERY colorful spring props and colorful flowers.  I can’t wait!!

Let’s re-cap…

In the midst of my holiday session madness and joy of a season where we celebrate our faith, our little worlds were rocked not once, but twice.

After a few very scary weeks we found out my mom had breast cancer. She was very fortunate to find it when she did and immediately started a treatment plan. She handled surgery and radiation with the fight and determination that my mom has always had in every aspect of her life. She is one amazing woman, not to mention an incredible mom and grandmother. We celebrated her finishing radiation treatments at the end of January.

Just as mom was trying to come up with a plan for how she wanted to tackle her news, we received a very unexpected diagnosis about our youngest son, Max. I took him to our pediatrician one Monday afternoon because there were some odd things going on with him. In a matter of a few hours we went from Douglasville to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and had a diagnosis of Type I diabetes.

Everything around me stopped and all I wanted to do was rewind time a few months.

Before cancer.

Before diabetes.

Before hospitals and surgeries and insulin shots…

November and December are a bit of a blur.

I took January and February off to try to learn even more about the numbers that now run our days and nights and to spend time with this precious 3 year old helping him acclimate to the new normal.

As we were trying to gain understanding, his daily Mother’s Morning Out program {which I used as time for me to get some work done} seemed out of the question for both of us.

I just needed to be a mom.

So many of you are not only my clients but are also my friends.

You are people that I run into daily when I am out with my family or just running errands.

Many of you spotted me in Target or Kroger over the last few months and asked “How are you?”

Some of you even got the cold hard truth as I fell apart and began sobbing in the middle of aisle 9.

I value each of you and appreciate all the business you have brought my way.

I have had to turn some of you away over the past couple of months so for those very reasons I wanted to share why I may not have been able to do a session for you.

March is a new month and a new season is upon us.

By the grace of God, everyone in our family is regaining their footing.

To everything there is a season,

and a time to every purpose under heaven.

Ecclesiastes 3:1

Photography is so very important to me and I have used it to document the past several months for us, but I am ready to see all of you again!

I am planning to get back to work in March and will be scheduling my Easter mini-sessions, and then some Senior Sessions in April. Look for available dates here on the blog and Facebook this week.

Also, I am extremely blessed that my calendar is already filling up with fun Spring family sessions, newborns sessions, a few special maternity sessions and some fun one-year events for some super cool kiddos.

Thank you to all that knew and sent kind words, prayers and thoughts our way over the last 3-4 months.

They are more valuable to our soul and healing hearts than you can know, and very well may be what helped to slow down our roller coaster.

Now, he is just over 18 months old.

Not only is he a cutie, but he FULL of energy!

And he loves his mama…can you tell?

See that hat…it belonged to his grandfather & it is SUPER special to this little guy (and super BIG, haha).

Such a cute little cowboy!  Watching him grow and capturing memories for this family is an HONOR!

From summer vacations to adorable and FUN summer sessions.

I begin today with images I captured when my BFF came to visit us this summer and brought her family (um, it may even been back in the spring…YIKES).

I love her girls as if they were my own.

As their “Auntie Kim”, I must brag…they ARE absolutely adorable!

This year my BIG BOY started kindergarten!
